Mr. Clyde Rader, age 90, of Parrottsville, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009, at his home.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Rader; parents Albert and Maggie (Barger) Rader; brothers Robert Rader, Gilbert Rader, and Alvin Rader; sisters Alma Dell Williams and Marie Rader; and grandson Andy Rader.
He is survived by his son Tex Rader of Milan, TN; sons and daughters-in-law Ricky and Sarah Rader of Oak Ridge; Tony and Mildred Rader of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law Georgia and Ken Hall of Dandridge; Judy and Danny West and Sandra and Billy Sauceman, all of Newport; Debbie and Kenny Sane of Parrottsville; and daughter Rosemary Bryant of Parrottsville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include his sister-in-law Audrey Rader of Newport and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express special recognition to his caregivers: Rosemary Bryant, Nisha Gregg, Mary Miller, and Georgia Hall.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Harned's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. The body lay in state from 10:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment followed in Harned's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to God's Willing Vessels Food Pantry, c/o Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
