William "Billy" Ogle Descendants


William "Billy" Ogle was born about 1756 in New Castle County, Delaware and built the first settler structure in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. In 1664, John Ogle, one of William's ancestors, served on an expedition from England to America. Thus began the expansion of one of the furthest traced family lines of Sevier County, Tennessee. This line is traced back all the way to Humphrey de Ogle born about 1085 and died about 1155.

Listed are 24 generations of ancestors and 11 generations of 10,768 known descendants (16,775 if you include spouses) of William "Billy" Ogle, most settling in the Smoky Mountains.
