Notes: David went to New York City to study - his health failed and the doctor ordered a sea voyage. This first trip was wonderful and he told glowing accounts of his trip. His second voyage was the last - he never returned. A sailor came to see his mother and said that he fell overboard and the Captain would not allow them to lower a boat to save him. He swam a half mile and disappeared. It was thought that he was killed by some of the crew. Died a year after brother Robert. |
