  1. 1.  Fred Oliver "Daddy Fred" McMahan was born 14 Jan 1913, Sevier County, Tennessee; died 27 Aug 1985; was buried Middle Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, Sevier County, Tennessee.

    Notes:

    Born on Middle Creek at the Trotter-McMahan home (owned by Mrs. Glenn McMahan
    in 1994 and is in the National Historic Register). He attended Sevier County
    schools and Pittman Center High School, was a lifetime farmer, rural mail
    carrier and at one time worked for TVA. He served on Sevier County Agricultural
    Stabilization Conservation Service for thirty years. When he retired in 1989,
    he was presented with a plaque for his service to farmers.

    Fred married Archie Ray Dennis 24 Dec 1932, Sevier County, Tennessee. Archie (daughter of John D. "Ped" Dennis and Mary Quintine "Tina" McMahan) was born 27 Apr 1915, Tennessee; died 15 Sep 2011; was buried 19 Sep 2011, Middle Creek Methodist Church Cemetery, Sevier County, Tennessee.
