Mrs. Keith S. (Pat) Harrison, age 78, of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday morning, March 27, 2012, at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville.
She was born December 15, 1933, in Lenoir City, TN. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Mrs. Harrison was an elementary school teacher and for several years she worked with her husband, the late Dr. Keith S. Harrison, when he began his dental practice in Greeneville.
She attended Asbury United Methodist Church and was a member of the Book Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Link Hills Country Club. She was an avid bridge player and horse enthusiast, who enjoyed watching her daughter show horses. She loved history, especial Civil War history, and historic homes.
Survivors include one daughter Trish Harrison of Nashville and her fiancé Brad Spivey of Morristown; one brother and sister-in-law Bill and Alice Norris of Knoxville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Bobby Wells of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Keith S. Harrison, who died January 24, 1996; her parents Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Norris; siblings and spouses Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Norris and Mr. and Mrs. Iliff (Libby) McMahan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Asbury United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jeannie Higgins will officiate. Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Wells II, Iliff McMahan, Jr., Chris Shepard, Alex Brown, Dr. Carl Thacker, and Dr. David Jones. Bobby Wells and Bill Norris will be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Association.
