FREEMAN , AUDREY MAY SHELTON - age 90 of Greeneville, passed away Thursday afternoon at Laughlin Health Care Center. She was a charter member of Greene Hills Baptist Church. She was very involved in all church activities, including Bible School, Bible study, and Sunday School. She had a special gift for hospitality, as her home was always open to anyone. Her many hobbies included reading, gardening, canning, and quilting. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Wanda Myers and Rebecca "Jane" and Charles Everett grandchildren and their spouses: Laura White, David and Donna Myers, Michelle and Allen Hicks, Kimberly Dawn Everett ten great-grandchildren six great-great grandchildren one sister: Alice Lockman of Sevierville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Mary Jane Shelton husband: Benjamin W. Freeman a son, Benny Freeman a son-in-law: Joe Myers a grandson: Joseph Myers, Jr. and nine brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens. The eulogy will be given by special friend, Pat Taylor. The body will lie in state at the Deep Gap Church from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. The service will be followed with interment at Clark Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 207 North Boone Street, Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN , 37604, or the charity of the donor's choice.
