KRON , DONALD R. "DUDE" - passed away quietly at home, Sunday, August 3, 2003, with family. He is preceded in death by parents, Horace and Frankie L. Childress Kron brothers, Horace "Ed", Charles William "Bill", Ralph "Boss" sisters, Mildred Reagan and Helen Thompson. Don was born on 9/30/1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Central High School and Knoxville Business College. He served in the U. S. Army from 1949 to 1952, and retired from the Real Estate Department at Uniroyal Tires with over 25 years of service. Don is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Jo Basler Kron son, Michael Kron and future daughter-in-law, Robin Beeler and daughter, Brittney daughter and son-in-law, Donna and William Cunningham. Don will be sadly missed by his family and freinds. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask, memorial donations be made to the Knoxville Zoo, Attn: Kathleen Kinser, P.O. Box 6040, Knoxville, TN 37914. Please make donation in memory of Donald R. Kron . Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Chaplain Brad Hood and Pastor Michael Vincent of Riverdale Baptist Church officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Friday, Lynnhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr. lynnhurstchapel.com
