U.S. Veteran Hubert Marion Rauhuff went to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Hubert was born June 5, 1931 to Bradford and Margaret Rauhuff.
A faithful christian husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was a carpenter and local wood carver by trade. He was a veteran of the United States Army and devoted Deacon and member of Freedom Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by; parents, Bradford and Margaret Ogle Rauhuff, Step Mother, Nola Rauhuff Ownby, Son, James Marion Rauhuff, Brothers; Lester Rauhuff, Charlie Rauhuff, Mack Rauhuff, Grover Rauhuff, Frank Rauhuff and Clifford Rauhuff; Sisters, Gladys Sims Manis, Lela Rauhuff Shultz, Mary Ruth Cole; Brother and Sisters-in-law, Elmer and Charlsie Clabo, Ray and Kate Cole, Roy Cole, Cordell King, Dorothea Cole, Father and Mother-in-law, Albert and Sara Cole.
Survivors: loving wife of 57 years, Peggy Cole Rauhuff, children, Ann Randall, Michael and Juanita Rauhuff, Marvin Rauhuff and David Rauhuff and special friends Roger Mattil and Otis Dial; Grandchildren, Doug and Lucy Floyd, Michael Cogdill, James and Jocelyn Rauhuff and Danielle Rauhuff; Great grandchildren, Teletha and Lindsey Floyd and Alex Hollis; Brothers and Sisters, Bobby Joe Rauhuff, Roy and Wanda Rauhuff, Louise Barnes, Alice and Dallas Musick and Bertha Mae Ramsey; several nieces and Nephews.
He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
The family will receive friend’s 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Freedom Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Edward Parton officiating.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Mount Zion Cemetery.
Military honors will be presented by American Legion Post 104
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Freedom Baptist Church in memory of Hubert Rauhuff for the elderly and needy of the church.
