  Burned in a fire. 1850 Cocke County Census lists age as 45 unable to read or write with four children. There is a Joseph (born about 1766 from Virginia) and Mary (born about 1788 from Virginia) Burke listed in the 1850 Cocke County, Tennessee census living next to the Ball family.
