McTEER, FRANCIS JOE - age 79, of Knoxville, died Thursday, February 18, 1999, at Brakebill Nursing Home. He was a businessman in the Knoxville and Morristown areas for many years. He served wit the US Army in World War II in the European Theater of Operations and was a 32nd degree mason.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Elizabeth McTeer; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Susan McTeer and their children, Jeff McTeer, Melissa McTeer, Mia Jan Kirkham and husband, Wayne, all of Knoxville, Max Wayne and Lynn McTeer and their children, Max, Amy and Carson McTeer, all of Oklahoma; daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Marty Gebrow and their children, Timothy Smith, Stephen Smith, Sarah Allison Smith, all of Knoxville, Polly and Bruce Chitwood and their children, Adam and Robert Chitwood, all of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Amanda Kirkham, Briana McTeer, Lona McTeer, all of Knoxville; sister, Sara McConnel of Dearborn, Mich. A private graveside service will be held Sunday in Eusebia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502. McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home, Maryville, in charge.
