Keppy Ellison, age 80, of Greeneville, died Friday, October 22, at the James H. Quillen Veterans Medical Center.
He was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Newport.
Mr. Ellison was a veteran of World War II serving under General George Patton in France where he was wounded and received the purple heart and the bronze star.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ellison; parents, W.I. and Rhoda James Ellison; brother, Joe Ray Ellison; sisters, Wilma Whitmire, Gladys Keys, Audrey Dockery, Eunice Butcher, and Elsie Johnson.
Survivors: one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Shelia Ellison, of Greeneville; two grandchildren, Christy Ellison and Courtney Ellison, both of Greeneville; one sister, Della Lunsford, of Newport; one brother, Eulas Ellison, of Highpoint; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday, October 25, at 2 p.m. at Jeffers Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Marvin Witt ofÞciating. Interment will be in Greenelawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers are the nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Jeffers Mortuary.
