Holland Lonzo Green, 77, of Del Rio, passed away Thursday morning at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was a member of the First Church of God in Del Rio and a veteran of World War II.
Holland retired from the Quaker Oats Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Margaret Cole Green; and a brother, Woodrow Green.
He is survived by his wife, Vestoria Moore Green of Del Rio; children, Ronald and his wife, Margaret Green of Del Rio, Margaret and her husband, Arvin Willis of White Pine, and Curtis Green and Terry and his wife, Carol Green, all of Newport; sister, Cora Mae Gibson of Greeneville; brother, R.L. Green of Del Rio; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God in Del Rio with Pastor Robert Ashley officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in the Moore Cemetery in Spicewood Flats.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the Brown Funeral Home.
