PHILLIPS, PAUL - age 88, passed away at St. Mary's Hospice on Sunday morning. He was a member of Mitchell Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother George and Mary Pierce Phillips; sisters Minnie Roberts, Pearl Morgan, Doll Roach, and Sue West and brothers Jack, Dan, and Emert Phillips. He is survived by his twin sister Pauline McGinnis; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM with the funeral to follow at 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Shiloh Cemetery, with the Rev. Al Smith and Rev. James McCann officiating. The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Mary's Hospice. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge.
