Willie Evelyn Chambers Etherton, 81, of Sevierville died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Patsey and Jack Barnes, and Carolyn and Eddie McCarter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Cora Chambers, Jake and Iva Chambers and Clarence and Ruby Chambers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Dale Fox, and Delores and John King; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruby Maples, Iva Suttles, Inas Smelcer, Geneva Strange, Eula and Gene Catlett, Evelyn and Bennie Latham, and Herbert and Cora Etherton; two granddaughters; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Etherton, and grandson, Scott Alan Barnes.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Dallas Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Providence Baptist Church or Alder Branch Baptist Church.

ETHERTON, WILLIE EVELYN CHAMBERS - age 81, of Sevierville, passed away, Thursday, August 24, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Etherton and grandson, Scott Alan Barnes.
Survivors: daughters and sons in law, Patsey and Jack Barnes, Carolyn and Eddie McCarter; granddaughters, Rhonda Ward and husband, Donnie, Lisa McCarter; grandson, Edd McCarter and wife, Bethany; great grandchildren, Amber and Jordan Ward; brothers and sisters in law, Gene and Cora Chambers, Jake and Iva Jean Chambers, Clarence and Ruby Chambers; sisters and brothers in law, Wanda and Dale Fox, Delores and John King; sisters in law, and brothers in law, Ruby Maples, Iva Suttles, Inas Smelcer, Geneva Strange, Eula and Gene Catlett, Evelyn and Bennie Latham, Herbert & Cora Etherton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sat. in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Catlett, Dale Fox, Scott McCarter, Bobbie Parrott, Garland Rogers, & Joe McCarter. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Fri. at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
