Lone L. Sisk Jr., age 82 of Gallatin, formerly of Johnson City, passed away on June 13, 2009. Mr. Sisk was a retired Commander of Naval Intelligence with combined active and reserve duty of 31 years. He also dedicated his life for over 27 years to the Knoxville Education Association and the Tennessee Education Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lone L. Sisk Sr. and Alberta Garrett Sisk; sister, Zenobia Sisk. He is survived by his wife, Linda Davis Sisk of Gallatin; son, Lone L. Sisk III (Judy) of Florida; daughters, Debbie Sisk of Florida, Laurie Lee Sisk of Nashville, Lacy Dainwood (Joe) of Smyrna; step-son, Stephen Pirtle (Anne) of Kingston; five grandchildren; sister, Alfreda McAfee of Johnson City. Graveside service with Military Honors will be conducted on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon at the Gallatin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knox County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship Fund at KCRTA, 104 East 4th Ave., Knoxville, TN 37917.
