Viola M. Reece, 91, of Del Rio, passed away Saturday evening at the Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
She was a member of the Deep Gap Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patton Reece; her son, William Toy Reece; and her mother and father, Lawson and Frankie Messer.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Everette and Alma Messer of Hopewell, Virginia; her daughters and sons-in-law, Ovella and Lee Willis of Newport, Eunice and Junior Lowe of Aiken, South Carolina, Reva and Arnold Williamson of Petersburg, Virginia, and Ila and Roy Cagle of Knoxville; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Jimmy Reece, and his wife, Beverly of North Augusta, South Carolina; and several other nieces and nephews.
Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Haney ofÞciating. Interment was at Clark Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of þowers, the family requests donations be made to Clark’s Cemetery Fund, c/o Lucy Smith, 855 Reece Hollow Rd., Del Rio, TN 37727.
Brown Funeral Home was in charge.
