(May 26, 1929 - April 29, 2006) Lois Karlene Sprouse, age 76, of Newport, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Cocke County Baptist Convalescent Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Earl Sprouse; parents, Anderson and Georgia Branam; and her brother, Floyd Branam. She is survived by her two daughters, Kim (Terry) Ball of Newport, Linda (Brad) Britton of Chatsworth, GA; grandson, Todd (Mary) Britton of Ringgold, GA, Jeremy (Shelley) Ball of Dandridge, TN, Justin Ball of Jefferson City, TN; and her great grandchildren, Sally, Maggie, Annie and Anderson Britton. She is also survived by her brother, Gene (Linda) Branam and a sister, Claudia Gray of Sacramento, CA; sister-in-law, Mary Branam of Newport; and a very speical thank you to the nurses and staff of Cocke County Baptist Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Monday, May 1, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr, Craig Ward officiating. Burial will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 2, 2006 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services. Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund at 234 Lincoln Ave. Newport, Tennessee 37821 or to a charity of your choice.
