Charles G. Williams, 63, of Newport, died Thursday, June 10, at UT Hospital in Knoxville, as a result of injuries received from an earlier automobile accident.
He was retired from Detroit Gasket.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Williams and Lettie Williams Hatcher.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Allen Williams, Newport; daughter, Tracy Williams, Newport; sons, Wendell Williams, Dandridge, and Kendall Williams, Newport; grandsons, Chad Williams, Newport, and Dusty and Matthew Williams, Dandridge; special friend, Tammy HatÞeld of Knoxville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bessie and Albert Talley of White Pine, Evelyn Hannah of Jefferson City, and Wanda and Jim Tipton of Jefferson City; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert Jr. and Katherine Williams of Dandridge and Raymond and Hazel Williams of White Pine; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Manes Funeral Home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Manes Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allen’s Cemetery.
In lieu of þowers, memorials may be made to Swannsylvania Baptist Church Building Fund.
Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
