LEDBETTER, MAYNARD - age 94, of Townsend, died at 6:04 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2000 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He retired from ALCOA after 30 years of service and was a member of their 25 year club. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Bill Ledbetter; parents, Manuel & Lurena Ledbetter; brothers, Witt & Ira Ledbetter; sisters, Annie McCarter, Hazel Adams, Susie Clabough; daughter-in- law, June Ledbetter.
Survivors include: son, Mayford Ledbetter of Maryville, Luke & Mary Ledbetter of Alcoa; daughters and sons-in- law, Barbara & Jack Reagan of Townsend and Lillian & Charles Myers of Walland; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Willie Ledbetter of Townsend; sisters, Josie Hembree of Knoxville, Rachel Pack of Maryville and Katherine Caylor of Townsend. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2000 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Elder Jimmy Cooper and Rev. Edward Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2000, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, 983-1000.
