James David “J.D.” Styles, age 82 of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009. He was retired from the construction trade as a home builder.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Styles, mother Rachel Phillips, half-brother Glenn Phillips, step-brothers Zackie, Horace, Ken and Audris Phillips, and step-sister Ilone Gates.
Survivors include his:
Son and daughter-in-law: Jim and Marlene Styles
Daughter and son-in-law: Bonnie and Dennis “Dink” Loveday
Grandchildren: Tony Styles and wife Tina, Michelle Traywick and husband Lance, Vickie Byrd and husband Daryl, Marsha Ogle, Chad Loveday and wife Dara
Great-grandchildren: Brieanna and Bailey Styles, Tyler and Brody Traywick, A.J. Ogle, Austin, Houston, Sydney and Cheyenne Byrd, Chance and Trace Loveday

Funeral service 7 PM Friday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel with Rev. Wayne Ownby and Daryl Byrd officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:30 AM Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for interment with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
