A local teenager will perform for the first time in Nashville this week.
Abby Ogle, 18, of Newport, was chosen by the Tennessee State Fair Association to be one of four entertainers to showcase their talents at the association’s seventy-eighth state convention.
The association selects artists or acts who it believes have the talent to be successful in the entertainment world. The fair’s entertainment directors, who represent county and regional fairs from across the state, have the opportunity to preview the showcased talent and contract one of more of the artists to perform at their fairs.
Ogle will perform songs from her debut album on Thursday, January 27 at 8:30 p.m.
The album is a collection of original country music songs and the hymn, Amazing Grace. The album will be released in February.
The Tennessee Fair Association Convention is set at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown, at 623 Union Street. (This is the former Crowne Plaza.)
