Rex Large, age 88 of Sevierville, went home to be with Jesus and his wife Mae on Tuesday, May 22, 2001. He was a member of Little Cove Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Mae Large; sister Jessie Sims; brothers Herman and Dave Large; mother Martha Jane Large and father Mell Large. Jesus called and Papaw answered. He was a giver to all, not a taker. He will always be remembered that way. We will always have special memories of him. To know him was to love him.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Linda Large Grandson: Neil Large Granddaughter: Latasha Large Brothers: Gene Large and wife Betty; R.C. Large and wife Mildred.
Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Maples officiating. Interment 11:30 AM Friday in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
