Jack Thomas Williams, 67, of Cosby, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at UT Medical Center, in Knoxville.
He was the owner of Jack’s Market, in Cosby, and a member of Cosby Church of Christ.
His wife, Ruth Williams; parents, Artell and Effie Bradley Williams; sister, Mae Shults; and brother, Roy Williams, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sons, Timmy Williams and his wife, Deborah, of Cosby, and Mark Williams and his wife, Judy, of Cosby; daughter, Kay Phillips and her husband, Bobby, of Sevierville; grandchildren, Denise Lipman, of Sevierville, Travis, Megan and Jordon Williams, all of Cosby, Tiffany Lawson and Heather Norton, both of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Jake Phillips, of Knoxville, and Chase Lipman, of Sevierville; sisters, Eula Dyer, of Knoxville, and Imogene Shults, of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Johnny Williams, of Knoxville, Mack Williams, and Chuck Williams, and his wife, Janie, all of Cosby. Mr. Williams will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 25, 2001, at 8 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home Chapel, with Olie Williamson officiating. Interment will be Saturday morning, May 26, 2001, at 11 a.m., at Huskey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., prior to the service.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jack Thomas Williams, 67, of Cosby died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.He was a member of Cosby Church of Christ.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Williams; parents, Artell and Effie Bradley Williams; one sister and one brother.Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Timmy and Deborah Williams of Cosby, Mark and Judy Williams of Cosby; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Bobby Phillips of Sevierville; sisters, Eula Dyer of Knoxville, Imogene Shults of Spartanburg, S.C.; brothers, Johnny Williams of Knoxville, Mack Williams, Chuck Williams and wife Janie, all of Cosby; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service is 8 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Chapel with Olie Williamson officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday at Huskey Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
