OGLESBY, RUTH JANE FLOYD - age 81 of Powell, went to be with Jesus and her husband E. B. Oglesby on Sunday, April 20, 2008 in her sleep at her home. She was a member of the Acacia-May Chapter #24 Order of Eastern Star . She was also preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada Floyd; brother, Roy Floyd all of Sevierville and Horace Floyd of Oak Ridge. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and James Thomas of Powell; grandson, Christopher Neal Thomas and wife, Katie of Nashville who are expecting her first twin great grandchildren; grandson, Derek Michael Thomas of Powell; sisters, Mary Bunch of Lafollette and Delsa Harrison of Sevierville; brothers, Elmer and James Floyd of Sevierville; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:30 P.M. Friday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jim Bunch, Mike Weaver, Dustin Weaver, Glenn Bartlett, Michael Slover and Gabe Slover. The family will receive friends 1-2:30 P.M.
