Rev. Jack Marshall Bailey, age 91 of Sevierville, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Ben Atchley State Veteran's Home. Rev. Bailey served in the ministry for 62 years. He was a long time pastor in Sevier County, having served at Laurel Grove for 40 years as well as Pastor Emeritus. He also served at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Rocky Grove Baptist Church and Henderson's Chapel Baptist Church.
He was also the owner of Sevierville Auto Trim Shop. Rev. Bailey served in the U.S. Army and earned the Purple Heart for wounds received in Normandy during World War II. He was an avid sports fan, especially football.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Irene Wilson Bailey and Betty Barger Cole Bailey; parents, Marshall and Callie (Loveday) Bailey; sisters, Bertha Bailey Smith, Mary Bailey, and Anna Mae Bailey Lane; brother, J. B. Bailey; sisters-in-law, Wilma Bailey, Ruby Whaley, Vera Wilson, Eula Wilson and Kate Wilson; brothers-in-law, Tidence Lane, Howard Wilson, and Shirley Shults; niece, Carolyn Votour; step-grandson, John Newman.

Daughters: Jenny Bailey, Judy Bailey-Ogle and husband Charles Ogle, Jackie Bailey Pace and husband Tim Pace;
Son: Jerry Bailey and wife Mollie Huskey Bailey;
Step-children: Eugenia (James) Newman, Margurite (Garry) Sims, Jasper (Laurie) Cole;
Grandchildren: Anna Bailey, Amber (Rodney) Shelton, Andrew (Autumn) Bailey, Laura Ogle, Caleb Pace, Callie Pace, Lydia Ogle, and Cade Pace;

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Ben Atchley Veterans Home for their loving care.
The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Coleman officiating. Interment 10 AM Friday in Mount Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Helton, Jim Branton, Tim Simms, Eddie Suttles, Mike Ellis. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post # 104. Jack and Betty Bailey, of Sevierville, celebrated their twenty-first anniversary on October 1. Mrs. Bailey is the former Betty Barger Cole. Reverend Bailey is the Pastor of Laurel Grove Baptist Church. Their children are Eugenia Newman, Margurite Simes, Jasper Cole, Judy Bailey-Ogle, Jackie Bailey Pace, Jenny Bailey. They have 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren
