SEXTON, PEGGY SUE ROGERS - age 69 of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Morristown-Hamblen Health-care System. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Morristown. She was preceded in death by: her parents; Ernest and Golda Rogers; son; Carl (Chuck) Reece Sexton and two brothers, Wayne and Jimmy Rogers. Survivors: husband of 51 years, Reece Sexton; sons, Steve Sexton of Knoxville, John Sexton and wife Carolyn of Church Hill; daughters, Amie O'Dell and husband Brian of Harrisonburg, VA, Rosemary Rogers and husband Jeff of Talbott; sisters, Elizabeth Williams of Nashville, Barbara (Bill) DeLozier of Seymour, Maxine (Rev. Guy) Milam of Seymour, Margaret (Donald) Duncan of TX; brothers, Tom (Shirl) Rogers of TX, David (Ellen) Rogers of VA; brother-in-law, Howard (Sue) Sexton of Pigeon Forge; sisters-in-law, Portia Williamson of Knoxville, Wilma (Bob) Latham of Seymour; 9 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; long time friend, Cheryl (Charlie) Cobble and her family; a very special and devoted niece, Teresa Yoakum. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Georges and Rev. Guy Milam officiating. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Highland South Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Lakeway Civil War Preservation Association, P.O. Box 625, Morristown, TN 37815-0625. Mayes Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
