Ogle,Robert Lewis “Bob”, age 73, of Seymour, went home to be with his Jesus on March 14,2009 at UT Hospital. He was a lifelong member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where he was active in the Celebration Choir and taught Sunday school for several years. Bob retired from Rohm and Haas and sold insurance for Life & Casualty and Woodmen of the World life insurance companies. He was a member and past Lodge President of Woodmen of the World. Bob served with the Air National Guard at McGhee-Tyson Air Base from 1957 to 1963. Preceded in death by parents William Loy Ogle and Veatress Julia King Ogle; sister, Willie Mae Adams.
Survivors
Survived by wife of 47 years, Kathleen “Kathy” Walker Ogle; son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Sandra Ogle; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Tony Wardell, Jennifer and Craig Connatser; grandchildren, Alan , Aaron and Adam Ogle; Brianna, Emma, Noah and Ezekiel Connatser; sisters, Betty Burgin and Mary Ann Winkle Townsend; brother, Harold Ogle; sister and brother-in-law, Dora and Corum Keck; brothers and sisters –in-law, George and Peggy Walker, M.J. and Muriel Walker, Jay and Gigi Walker, Bobby and Judy Walker. Also survived by the families of Bill Walker, Leonard Walker, Ada Cole and Bonnie Bliss; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the nurses and physicians at UT Hospital that provided the wonderful care for our beloved husband and father.
Service
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 7:00PM, Tuesday, at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Wilson and Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating, with family receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00PM, prior to service. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Alan and Aaron Ogle; nephews, Bobby, Mike and Andy Winkle; Steve Burgin, Sam Adams and Dale Rhoton; honorary pallbearer, Adam Ogle. Family and friends will meet at 10:00AM, Wednesday, at Berry Funeral Home and process to Highland South Cemetery for an 11:00AM graveside service. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
