Gene Edward Ownby, age 78 of Sevierville, left his earthly body and immediately went to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 22, 2013. He loved his church and church family at Hurst Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arvle and Alice Ownby; sister Shirley Brackins; brother Billy Ownby; sister-in-law Bonnie McClure; brothers-in-law Carl Henry, Charlie, Wilburn and Jackie Adams; best friends Earl and Frank McClure.
He is survived by his beloved wife Juanita Ownby; his loving family to include -sons Teddy Gene Ownby, Dennis Ownby and wife Patty, Randy Ownby and wife Kelli; daughter Regina Blizzard and husband Robert; grandchildren, Cindy Ruiz and husband Adam, Teddy Gene Ownby and wife Amber, Keith Ownby and wife Meagan, Jennifer Blizzard, Damon Green, Roy, Daniel, Chris, Amber and Andy Ownby, Anna Watson, Suzanne and JoAnna
Precious great-grandchildren, Ryelee, Shawn, Kenzie, Tyson, Rocky, Nicholas, Noah, Liberty, Dominic Ownby;
