HELTON, REX HOUK, 62, Sevierville, died Tuesday, Dec. 5. He was employed by ALCOA and was a member of the Aluminum Brick Workers Union.
Survivors: wife, Beulah Helton; daughter, Melissa Maples; sons, Steve Helton and Kenny Huskey; six grandchildren; brothers, Buford Helton and Wayne Helton; sister, Janice Tarwater.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Interment to follow in Caton's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rex Houk Helton, 62, of Sevierville died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000. He was an employee of ALCOA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard and Pearl Helton, two brothers and father-in-law.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Helton; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Steve Maples; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Lisa Helton, Kenny and Tina Huskey; grandchildren, Cory Maples, Blake Huskey, Beau Helton, Taylor Helton, Brittany McKinley, Jessica McKinley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Buford and Bobbie Helton, Wayne and Barbara Helton; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Theron Tarwater; sister-in-law, Doris Helton and mother-in-law, Mrs. Garfield (Lillie) Parton.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Orville Parton and the Rev. Leroy Parton officiating. Interment to follow in Caton's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Atchley Funeral Home.

He was an avid horseman and a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association, East Tennessee Walking Horse Association, W.H.O.A. Walking Horse Association, Tennessee Racking Horse Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard & Pearl Helton; brothers, Ray Helton & M.T. Helton; father-in-law, Garfield Parton.
