GHEEN, REBA PAULINE - age 87, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, May 27, 2002, at NHC Healthcare in Farragut. Mrs. Gheen and her husband, Tom, were married for 61 years, before his death in 1992. Together they farmed crops and cattle on their property on Westland Drive. Part of their property is now the site of A. L. Lotts School and Woodland Springs Subdivision. Mrs. Gheen took great joy in cooking, for the men that helped her husband on the farm, and in later years for her grandchildren and great-granddaughter on holidays and their birthdays. She was a long time member of West Emory Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Gheen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Gheen ; two brothers, Lloyd and Coy, and a sister, Dorothy. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Joyce Gheen of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Bryan and wife, Susan Gheen of Maryville, and Mark and wife, Angie Gheen of Knoxville; great-granddaughter, Alyse Gheen of Knoxville; brothers, Frank Huskey of Appomattox, Va., Howard Huskey of Louisville, Ky., and Dewey Huskey of Dilwyn, Va.; sisters, Rose Whited of Knoxville, and Allene Crowder of Farmville, Va., and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gheen is at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Gates officiating. Arrangements by Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 588-0567.
