HUSKEY, COLLIE - of Halls, passed away 7:24 p.m. March 31, 1999, at NHC of Knoxville. Born October 20, 1904, in Sevier County. Member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City and Dearborn Lodge #172 F&AM for 40 years. Preceded in death by: parents, Mitchell and Martha King Huskey; and wives, Stella Huskey and Dossie Weaver Huskey. At his father's death, he lived with his grandfather, Madison Huskey on Pigeon River. When he was a young man, he became an employee of Ford Motor Co. in Michigan, where he stayed for 46 years, 21 years spent in Quality Control. He returned to Knoxville, after retiring in 1972. Survivors: sister, Josie Ward; and half-brother, William Earl Lee, Sr.; nieces, June Davis, Stella Howard, Naomi Miller and Jenette McDaniel; great-niece, Donna Glandon; nephews, Gene and Ernest Huskey, Paul and Charles Wallace; step-granddaughter, Cheryl Driscoll; step-grandsons, Jack, Lee and Dale Carroll; step-sons, Kyle and Charles Weaver; step-sisters, Lucille Runions and Elizabeth Karnes; very special friend, Johnny Rayburn, who cared for him in his later years as the son he never had. Masonic service 7 p.m. Friday with funeral service to follow, Mynatt's Chapel, Rev. John Howard officiating. Family and friends will meet in Lynnhurst Cemetery at 12 noon Saturday for interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenwood Perpetual Cemetery Fund, c/o Home Federal Bank Trust Dept., 515 Market St., Knoxville, TN 37902. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday at Mynatt's.
