HUFFAKER, CRAIG J. - age 61. passed on May 2, 2007 after an extraordinary 7 1/2 year victory over brain cancer. Preceded in death by: parents Jack Huffaker, Reva Huffaker LaForge, & Robert LaForge. Survived by: wife Nancy Reagan Huffaker; son, Aaron Huffaker of Bentonville, AR; father-in-law, Paul Reagan (Roberta); brother-in law, Tommy Reagan (Helen); sister-in law, Mickie Anderson (Jimmy); niece & nephew, Kim Lawrence & Ryan Reagan; special cousins, Dr. Charlie R. Smith (Marlene); Phyllis Hill (Lee); and a legacy of family & friends. He began a finance career at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (Atlanta) after receiving a B.S. (Tennessee Tech 1968) and becoming a CPA. Earned Doctorate of Jurisprudence (1981) and became chief financial officer & corporate director in the high-tech, biotechnology, telecommunications, & encryption industries in Atlanta, GA; "Silicon Valley", CA; Kansas City & Nebraska. Served in U.S. Army, Signal Corp. (1969-1971), Vietnam Veteran. Belonged to numerous professional organizations & Brentwood United Methodist Church. Born in Knoxville, 1964 Central H.S. graduate, obtained rank of Eagle Scout. Family extends infinite gratitude to Dr. Timothy Panella. Craig will eternally remain in our hearts for his rare combination of wisdom & intellect coupled with love, devotion, faith in God, selfless kindness, humility, integrity, courageous strength, gracious spirit, & leadership by example. A private service will be held on a chartered train.
