Cynthia Lewis Satterfield "Cindy" - age 43 of Kingston, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 15, 2010.
She fought a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was affectionately called "Sunshine" by her husband, because she was always smiling and a joy to be around. Cindy was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church but more recently attended Kingston Pike Baptist Church. She worked many years with animals and loved riding motorcycles in the mountains.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifford and Louise Steed; aunts, Freida Wood and Mildred McCrary of Loudon; grandfathers, Monty J. Lewis and Lyle Huff; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Whitehead and Jerry Satterfield. She is survived by her husband, Clint Satterfield of Kingston; bonus daughter, Brooke Satterfield of Dayton, TN; parents, Ronnie and Carol Lewis of Lenoir City; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Michela Lewis of Loudon; grandmother, Zola Huff; special aunt, Brenda (Joe) Wilson all of Maryville; paternal grandmother, Grace Kelly of Lenoir City; her mother-in-law and care giver, Teresa (David) Hylton of Cocoa Beach, FL; father-in-law, Buck Satterfield of Spring City; sister-in-law, Olwin Norman of Lenoir City; brother-in-law, Lance Satterfield of Loudon; many other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Cofer and staff, East Tn. Home Health of Harriman and Amedisys Hospice of Knoxville.
It was her wish to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18th in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Ronny Jones and Dr. Jim Clayton officiating.
