Rev. Orville S. Parton age 89, of Sevierville, TN. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2006.
He was a World War II Veteran who served his country with pride.Orville was a Baptist Minister who pastored many of the Baptist Churches in Sevier County and surrounding counties for more than 50 years. He was employed with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and worked there until his retirement.
Dad or Daddy Parton as everyone called him was a loving husband to his wife, Bessie Grace Smelcer Parton for 68 years and the Best Daddy in the whole world.He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Bessie Grace Smelcer Parton: Grandson, Dennis Max Whitted; Parents, Walter and Bessie Rayfield Parton; Brothers, Robert Lee Parton and wife Avalee; Winfred Parton, Earl Parton and wife, Ora; Oscar Parton and wife , Frankie; Sister, Margie Parton and Hazel Whaley and husband, Dave.Survivors include his children and their spouses, Carlena Whitted and husband, Rev.
