Flora Belle Fink Roark, 97, Gray, passed on to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Gray.
Flora was a daughter of the late George and Delia Martin Fink. She lived in the Boones Creek area of Johnson City her whole life.
Flora was of Christian faith and a member of the Baptist church.
She was a homemaker and a good wife and mother. She loved working in her yard and garden, and tending to all of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Luther S. Roark; son-in-law (Barbara's husband), Darryel Webb; three step children, Chalmer Roark, Beulah Cole, and Christine Williams; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by: two children, Luther D. Roark and his wife, Ruth, and Barbara Webb, both of Johnson City; two step children, E. J. Roark and Louise Cole, both of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Neena Swigert, of Indianapolis, IN, and Ryan Logan Webb, of Staten Island, NY; three great grandchildren, Michael Amos, Hannah Amos, and Sierra Swigert; several step grandchildren, Janice, Carol, Pat, Mike, Steve, Pamela Sue, David, Johnny, Ronnie, Beatrice, Shelby, Vickie, Timothy, Ricky, Randy, Bobby Ray, and Brenda Sue; step great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and Special Friend, Mary Harshbarger.
The family of Flora Roark will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday in the South Chapel. Rev. Charles "Toonie" Cash and Rev. Ken Kyker will officiate. The committal service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 12:30 p.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
