( July 20, 1921 - September 26, 2013 ) Clarence W. Long, Sr., age 92, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Asbury Place. He was a proud World War II Veteran. He was an electrician by trade having worked in both Illinois and Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Goodson Long; parents, Thomas and Rhoda Prock Long; two brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence and Jennifer Long, Jr., Bobby and Marilyn Long, and Danny Long; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his caregivers at Asbury Place over the past six years. Funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, September 29, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2013, at Laurel Bank Cemetery for the interment.
