Nancy Merrill McCarter November 15, 1942 - June 10, 2012 Resident of El Paso, Texas Nancy was born to Thomas Alderson Merrill and Peggy Appleton Merrill, by whom she is preceded in death. She was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Peggie Merrill. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 37 years, Thomas Headrick McCarter, her son Richard Merrill McCarter, daughter in-law Diana Herrera McCarter, son Michael Thomas McCarter, her grandchildren Samantha Marie McCarter and Justin Thomas McCarter, and her great granddaughter Gianna Marie Bustamante. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Alderson Merrill, Jr., and sister, Susan Merrill Lewis. Nancy had a passion for horses and horsemanship. She was an accomplished rider and qualified for the National Finals Rodeo with her favorite cutting horse, "Mo." She loved to travel and especially enjoyed the Caribbean. She was a smart business woman and worked for many years at the family business of Merrill Bail Bonds. It was Nancy's wish that no funeral services be held.
