Deborah "Debbie" Garner Teffeteller , age 55, of Maryville, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at home, surrounded by friends and family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Joe. Debbie was born in Knoxville on Sept. 11, 1958. She ran and owned Teffeteller Sales for 27 years with her husband Joe and also worked at Coldwater Creek and Dillard's where she had countless friends before she retired due to illness. Debbie was an incredible person who never met a stranger and was kind to all. She loved to travel and enjoyed the company of friends. Debbie also enjoyed meeting new people, caring for others, swimming, and simply spending time with her friends and family. She is preceded in death by father-in-law, Leonard Teffeteller . Debbie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joe Teffeteller of Maryville; son, Dustin Teffeteller and wife Wendy of Maryville; mother-in-law, Bonnie Teffeteller ; sister, JoAnn; brothers, Bobby and Rodney; special friends, Donna and Jack Gregory of Maryville; and numerous family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 1338 Louisville Road, in Alcoa, on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at 7 p.m. with Reverend Larry Goins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 43, Alcoa, TN 37701.
