PRESNELL , WILLIAM LEON ( BUD ) - age 82, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2005. He was a member of South Knoxville Church of God and a World War II veteran. He was retired from the L&N Railroad after 30+ years of service. Bud was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Presnell brother, Johnny Presnell sisters, Stacy Ward, Pauline Hayes and Kate Presnell . He leaves behind his devoted wife of 50 years, Mary Presnell children, Teresa Long, Deborah Milsap, Robin and husband, Eddie Evans William (Bill) and wife, Jeanna Presnell Barbara Denton and Brenda and husband, Woodrow Riffey grandchildren, Donnie Long, Jr., Stephanie and Eric Milsap, Kris and Kari Presnell , Denean Kelly, Melissa Honeycutt, Jay Denton, Woody, Chad, Durk and Curtis Riffey. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Christopher Sawyer, M.D. and his staff for their continued support. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2005, in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with funeral service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Robert Branch officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Alcoa Highway on Monday for 11 AM graveside services. Military honors will be presented by the Veterans United Honor Guard.
