Audrey Pearl Gentry, age 91, of Newport, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at her home. She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, and attended as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gentry; son Rodney Gentry; parents, Henderson and Bertha Johnson; brothers, Clayton and R A Johnson; and sister, Wanell Gray Masters. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Vernon) Arrowood; sons, John H. (Linda) Gentry; and Robert Gentry; grandchildren, Brian (Christy) Arrowood, Mark (Stacy) Arrowood, Jessica (Chris) Cavalaris, Kelsey Gentry and Delaney Gentry; great-grandchildren, Will and Wyatt Arrowood, Lia Arrowood and Ben and Chloe Cavalaris; and sister, Wymalene Gray. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon on December 23, 2014 with funeral services following at 12:00 noon in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel, with Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating.
