Essie Cutshall, 87, of Cedar Creek Cave Road, Greeneville, passed away Monday at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Cutshall was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her nine children and their spouses: Phyllis and Hartsell Mullins, Porshia Gosnell , Irene and Rawliegh Tweed, Edward "Buddy" and Doris Cutshall, Gilbert and Linda Cutshall, Orville and Lesia Cutshall, Hartsell and Karen Cutshall, Bobby and Janet Lee Cutshall and Flora Mae Sheeks; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Shirley and Wilkie Smith and Nola Franklin of Marshall, N.C.; daughter-in-law: Juanita Cutshall; and a special sister-in-law: Lou Easterly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years: Phillip Cutshall; a son: Billy Cutshall; two grandchildren: Jerome Broyles and Jason Cutshall; parents: Pink and Hanna Franklin ; stepmother: Carrie Franklin ; three sisters: Edna Bailey, Betty Hanson and Minnie Shelton; two brothers: J.D. Franklin and Walter Franklin ; and three sons-in-law: Tom Gosnell , Roy Broyles, and Bill Sheeks.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Leonard Cutshall and the Rev. Ricky Gilliam will officiate.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for a 2 p.m. interment.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
