He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Eva Long and Marshall Scarce, Sr and Rosa Mae Dalton and uncle, Lynn Paul Long. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Donna; children, Elijah and Samantha Rae; parents, Marshall and Shirley Scarce; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete and Sandra Hayes; sisters-in-law, Marian and Cindy and brothers-in-law, Petey (Shannon) Hayes and Michael (Amanda) Hayes; grandma Laura; aunt, Lillie Parker; special uncles, William "Bill" Long and C.A. Dalton; special friends, Jimmy Campbell and Joey Adams; special nieces and nephews, Breanna, Cassie, Bryson, Brayden and Kamryn and numerous special cousins including the children of Paul and Lucille Long and a host of friends including co-workers at Alcoa-Howmet Castings. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, 2012 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Bethel Baptist Church located at 3030 Bethel Rd with the Rev.
