William Thomas “Bill” Foster, age 79 of Kodak, passed away Monday, September 5, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospice Residence in Knoxville. He was born July 17, 1926 to John Harvey and Ollie Green Foster in Knoxville.
During WWII he proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, having worked there for more than 40 years. He was a member of Knoxville's Central High School Class of 1945 and was a member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: brothers Howard and J.A. Foster; sisters Jewell Foster Galante Edwards, Virginia Foster Johnson, Evelyn and Juanita.

Wife of 55 years: Charlotte Black Foster
Daughter and son-in-law: Mitzi and Joe Soward of Kodak
Son and daughter-in-law: Millard Thomas “Tom” and Sallie Foster of Colorado Springs, CO
Grandchildren: Wesley Soward of Sevierville, Julie Soward of Denver, CO, Seth Foster and Emily Foster, both of Colorado Springs, CO
Sister: Geneva Foster Gregory Guthrie of Kings Mountain, NC

Memorial service 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Marston and Rev. Roland Buck officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 PM Friday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for graveside service and inurnment.
