Charles Andrew Walker, age 82 of Maryville, passed away at home on May 31, 2015 at 9:45 am peacefully surrounded by all of his loved ones, after a brief illness. He retired from Kerns Bakery after 56 years of service as a vice president of purchasing. Charles also served in the US Army. Preceded in death by: wife, Bobbie June Walker; parents, Barney & Fannie Mae Ott Walker; brothers, Wiley, George, Woodrow, Herman, Richard, Calvin, Wendall, Joseph and little Joe Walker; sisters, Dorthy Wachter and Betty Groves, and two lifelong dogs, Marvin (deceased) and Tita Walker. He is survived by: daughters, Tanya Lund and husband Vic and Kathy Youngberg; brothers, Buck Walker and wife Wanda, and Ira Walker; Grandchildren, Sean Youngberg and wife Ashley and Shannon Youngberg; great-grandson, Austin Sopczak; also special friend, Margie Arwood Rogers. He also leaves behind a wonderful extended Brumbalough family. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Smith Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. George Ott Jr. officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Sherwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 4, 2015 for the interment.
