Lavetta S. Andrews , 93, of Bentleyville, formerly of Sunnyside, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Kathryn, in Bentleyville. She was born in Briceville, Tenn., on Sept. 22, 1910, a daughter of the late William and Martha Disney Jones. Mrs. Andrews was a homemaker and a member of the Nazarene Church in California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Andrews , on July 17, 1964; five sons, Clarence, Richard, Bill, Bobby and an infant son; two daughters, Dorothy Andrews and Edna Wolfe of Greensburg; five brothers, Charles J., Eugene, Albert, Alvin and James; and three sisters, Edna, Ellen and Rose. She is survived by eight children, Paul S. Andrews of Fredericktown, Kenneth L. Andrews of Greensburg, Barbara J. DaDamo of New Kensington, Mary Alice Griffith of Cortland, Ohio, Kathryn M. Meinhold of Bentleyville, Clara E. DiAntonio of Plum Borough, Peggy Hill of Waukegan, Ill., and Betty Jo Schaffer of Greensburg; 40 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Franklin Jones of Michigan and Harvey Jones of Tennessee. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JAMES A. RABE FUNERAL HOME INC., 701 Thompson Ave., Donora, where funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Eugene H. Spear of CharBelle Free Methodist Church in Belle Vernon and Pastor Frank Rocco of The Church in Sutersville officiating. Burial will follow in Fells Cemetery.
