SCALF , THOMAS H. - age 76, of Alcoa, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at his home. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, was retired from ALCOA after 32 years of service, was a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club and was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Army. Survivors include wife, Evelyn Newman Scalf of Alcoa; son, Thomas H. Scalf , Jr. of Alexandria, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Dean A. and Debra Scalf of Morristown; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Andrew Hatcher of Louisville, Anita and Rick Tipton of Friendsville; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Rev. Glenn Mulkey of Loudon. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons Funeral Chapel with Rev. C.D. Hagaman and Rev. Ken Dyer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home. Friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a military graveside service.
