Von B. Whaley , 83, of Peshastin, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Cashmere Convalescent Center.
He was a 59-year resident of Peshastin and had been a logger for Peshastin Lumber & Box, Jack Brown Logging and Ralph Newell Logging.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Whaley of Cashmere; his children, Shirley Whaley of Wenatchee, Wendell Whaley of Peshastin and Tom Whaley of Cashmere; three brothers, Millard Whaley and Freeman Stoner, both of Peshastin, and Earnest Stoner of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
A funeral service of commemoration will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ward's Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth.
Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Peshastin Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Ward's Funeral Chapel.
