TIPTON , CHESTER OTIS - age 84 of Louisville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 19, 2006. He loved the Lord and was a member and deacon of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his humor and kindness. He was a retiree of Bell South and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in WWII. He loved hunting and fishing, and was proud of his Cades Cove heritage. A loving father, he will be greatly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by: beloved wife, Wanda Beaver Tipton . He is survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Wayne Lambert, Jane and Bill May, Laura and Greg Howard sons and daughters-on-law, Otis and Becky Tipton , Ray and Kristi Tipton grandchildren, Eric Lambert, Tyler Tipton , Andrew, Jacob, Matthew, and Caleb Howard great-grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Lambert special friends, Pat Cox, Darlene Hawkins, Edith White, and Diana Alderman. A special thanks to UT Hospice Team. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Greg Howard officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 9:45 a.m. for the interment on Wednesday at Clarks Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after 4:00 p.m. Monday.
