Edith F. Oliver Hembree , 83, of Maryville, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hembree , a direct descendent of the Olivers of Cades Cove, was born in Townsend, to Elder Cary and Ida Ellen Oliver. Mrs. Hembree was a member of Headricks Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Hembree was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos M. Hembree Sr.; parents, Cary and Ida Oliver; brothers, Robert, Junior Ray, and Donald Eugene Oliver; and sister, Margie Burns. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tommy Bradam; sons and daughters-in-law, Carlos Jr. and Billie Hembree , and Steve and Linda Hembree ; grandsons and spouses, Johnny Hembree , Brian and Jamie Hembree , Michael and Kathy Bradam, Mickey and Adele Bradam, Dakota Eagle of Maryville, and Jason Hembree of Knoxville; granddaughter, Carrie Mason of Charleston, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Samantha Hembree , Christopher Bradam, Thomas, Matthew and Haliegh Hembree ; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Emma Lou Oliver of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Jim Burns of Walland. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Elder Kenneth Sullivan officiating. Family and Friends will meet 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home to proceed to Caylors Chapel for an 11 a.m. graveside service.
