Loys Edwin "Edd" Harned of Greeneville, TN, died October 7, 2004.
Edd was born April 24, 1927 in Parrottsville, to the late, Loys "Hook" and Hazel Davis Harned.
He was retired form the Greene County Courthouse. He also served two years with the United States Army.
Edd was a faithful member of Eastside Independent Baptist Church where he enjoyed fellowshipping and serving alongside his Christian brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 19 years, Eulalia Parker Harned; also brothers, Carl Alfred and Fred Dale Harned; and former wife Patricia Harned Duggan.
He is survived by his daughter, Annette (Donn) Berney and her mother, Ann Harned McAllister of Parrottsville, TN; other daughters, Charlotte Powell, Barbara (Kim Michael) Cates, Julia (Mike) Linn and Sandy Palmer of Little Rock, Arkansas; sons, Jerry Harned of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jimmy Harned of Greeneville; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister, Betty Harned Bolinsky of Eustis, Florida; brother, Herbert Davis Harned of Pamottsville, TN; sister-in-law, Mrs. Cheryl Harned Burchette of Newport, TN; Mrs. Evalee Harned Hukill of Morrilton, Arkansas; Mrs. Mary Katherine "Kat" Weemes and Mrs. Jan Erwin of Greeneville, TN; also a brother-in-law, Glenn (Pearl) Parker of Morristown; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Family ask that memorials be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 195 Serral Drive, GreenevilIe, TN 37745, or the Fred Harned Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Cocke County Bank L. C. Gregg, 602 Cosby Highway, Newport, TN 37821.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2004 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Fox and Hospice Chaplain Mike Sledge officiating, with burial in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home.
